UNESCO City of Literature 'Painted Poems' workshops
theartdept. celebrates Dunedin’s Status as an UNESCO City of Literature with our ‘Painted Poems’ art workshops for teachers and children. This is a free to schools initiative made possible with the support of Dunedin City of Literature, and Dunedin City Council/Creative New Zealand Grants. If you wish to take us up on this wonderful offer, get in touch to register your interest. We are seeking more funding for continuing 'Painted Poems' during 2020 so keep an eye on this website.
Coffee, cake and creativity!
Our Tondo workshops are perfect for special events like birthdays, wedding parties, team building or simply just for fun with friends. Join artists and art educators Pamela Brown and Kerry Mackay to channel your creativity over cake and coffee.
Pamela will paint a small circular portrait (tondo) of each person whilst Kerry will lead you through ways to embellish your tondo portrait. Play with colour, paint & collage. You get to take away your own signed portrait by Pamela Brown and framed fabulously by yourself.
For groups of three or more. Get in touch with us to book your event.
